Sorghum Foundation Scholarships

Applications for Scholarship Open Now!

The Bruce Maunder Sorghum Leadership Scholarship: Apply for the Bruce Maunder Sorghum Leadership scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year. The scholarship includes $1,500 for tuition as well as an expense paid trip to Washington, D.C., to meet with Congressional representatives, coinciding with NSP’s legislative fly-in. Applicants (sophomore – senior level) must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in an agriculturally related curriculum. Undergraduate applicants must submit a completed copy of the application, an official copy of current transcripts and at least two letters of recommendation. Applications are made available by March 1 and upon completion, must be postmarked by June 1.

The Darrell Rosenow Memorial Scholarship: Apply for the Darrell Rosenow Memorial Scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year. The scholarship includes a $1500  award for tuition. Applicants (sophomores, junior, and senior) must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in an agriculturally based department related to agronomy, plant pathology, entomology, and/or plant breeding with emphasis on sorghum. Undergraduate applicants must submit a completed copy of the application, an official copy of current transcripts and at least two letters of recommendation. Applications are made available by March 1 and upon completion, must be postmarked by June 1.

Sorghum Feed and Food Scholarship: Apply for the Sorghum Feed and Food Scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year. The scholarship includes a $1500  award for tuition. Applicants (sophomores, junior, and senior) must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Animal Nutrition, Food Science/Human Nutrition, or Culinary Studies with emphasis on sorghum. Undergraduate applicants must submit a completed copy of the application, an official copy of current transcripts and at least two letters of recommendation. Applications are made available by March 1 and upon completion, must be postmarked by June 1.

National Sorghum Foundation-BASF Joint Scholarship: Apply for the National Sorghum Producers-BASF Scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year. The scholarship will include a $2500  award for tuition as well as cover the recipients’ cost to attend the 2019 Commodity Classic in Orlando, FL February 28 – March 2, 2019.Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in an agriculturally related curriculum. Students must be a child or grandchild of an NSP member and undergraduates must be entering at least their second year of study by the 2018-2019 academic year.  Applications are made available by August 1 and upon completion, must be postmarked by December 1.
