NSP welcomes Eric Washington, new communications director

LUBBOCK, Texas (May 27, 2025)National Sorghum Producers (NSP) is proud to announce Eric Washington as its new communications director. Washington brings a dynamic blend of strategic marketing experience, communications leadership and brand development expertise to the NSP team.

In this role, Washington will lead NSP’s communication strategy across multiple channels and audiences. His responsibilities will include managing media relations and developing messaging around policy, advocacy and industry engagement.

“Eric’s strong background in communications and proven leadership in the private sector bring tremendous value to NSP’s mission,” NSP CEO Tim Lust said. “He brings a communicator’s instinct for translating local concerns into national conversations, and we’re excited to have him amplifying the voice of sorghum.”

Washington most recently served as CEO at Two Docs Brewing Co., a company he co-founded and grew from a local startup to a statewide brand. He also brings prior experience from Texas Tech University and the U.S. Marine Corps. Washington resides in Shallowater, Texas, with his wife, Kyra, and their two children.
