NSP Hires New Communications Coordinator

LUBBOCK, TX — Delanie Crist has joined the National Sorghum Producers staff as communication coordinator. Crist will provide a broad range of public relations and marketing communications support to the organization and will serve as associate editor for Sorghum Grower magazine.

“Delanie has a deep-rooted foundation in agriculture and brings a great deal of passion and experience that will undoubtedly serve the sorghum industry well,” NSP External Affairs Director Jennifer Blackburn said. “We look forward to having her on Team Sorghum.”

Crist is a recent graduate of Texas Tech University where she received a master’s degree in agricultural communications. During her last semester Crist served as an intern for the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture in Washington, D.C. Crist earned a bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M University where she was a top three graduating senior in agricultural business and economics. Throughout college she had the opportunity to study abroad in France, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, and Honduras where she was chosen as a WT Readership Ambassador.

“I am excited to begin this new chapter working alongside the staff at NSP,” Crist said. “Growing up, I was surrounded by agriculturist within my family and community. I am very humbled to be among those who advocate for this industry and look forward to applying the knowledge and skills I have been taught leading up to now.”
