NSP Applauds Senate Passage of TPA

LUBBOCK, Texas – National Sorghum Producers Board Chairman J.B. Stewart released the following statement regarding the Senate passage today of the Trade Priorities and Accountability Act of 2015.

“I applaud Congress for helping American agriculture receive a huge victory today. Exports are vital to the American sorghum farmer’s bottom line. This legislation not only helps to support the U.S. economy but also creates greater market access.”

The bill will now go directly to President Obama’s desk for his signature. TPA will provide negotiators a path toward completion of the pending Trans Pacific Partnership trade agreement, which is critical for exports in the Asia-Pacific region.
