Blackburn Named NSP Director of Operations

LUBBOCK, Texas — The National Sorghum Producers has named Jennifer Blackburn director of operations.

Blackburn previously held the position as NSP’s communications coordinator four and a half years before taking on this new role. She has also been responsible for managing the Oklahoma and New Mexico state sorghum organizations and will continue to do so in her new position.

Blackburn takes over the position from Shari Connell who took a job opportunity with Texas Tech University earlier this month.

“Jennifer’s knowledge and experience of NSP’s strategic plan, daily operations and programs make her uniquely qualified for this position,” said NSP CEO Tim Lust. “She has served the industry well through her role as NSP communications coordinator, and we believe she will continue to be an asset to this organization.”
